Decline In Google’s Popularity Among SEOs: But Why?
Recently, a Twitter Poll by Barry Schwartz created a lot of buzz. When asked how SEOs feel about Google, 67.9% of people voted for “I like Google less now”.
But what is the exact reason behind that? Do users ALSO feel the same thing? Are we going to see a major shift in the search patterns?
Questions are many…
Regarding this, one reason could be SEOs complaining about the accuracy of search results. As a matter of fact, many SEOs are claiming that Google is prioritizing the BIG brands. In fact, some SEOs believe that – “even if I publish original, high-quality content, my website is not ranking.”
Another key point is ambiguity. For the last few points, Google has been promising to improve the way how search works; they are promoting high quality content. But we have hardly seen any improvements. (obviously, that will take time)
So, this poll is a clear reflection of the sentiments of SEOs.
Another interesting comment on the tread was this:
One such comment suggests that reliance on Google is decreasing. This could be because of the rise of alternative search engines or the increasing use of AI. It raises the question of whether Bing will become popular in the future. What do you think?
